"PS!" I screamed waving to a UK-used bus to take me into school and as I
got down inside the school garage, what fills my ears is the sound of
birds chirping and the wind quietly blowing by. It felt so calm. I
thought within myself, COULD THIS BE OOU?
Walking down Road 2, something felt different, I could feel it, first, the road that leads to the admin block looked like the Sahara; too dry for
comfort.
I was still in doubt if Baba Ibadan really drove into OOU.
Even the famous CTS BUILDING would echo if my 1k fell on its floor.
FCMB security guards were so happy to see someone all day - Me, "customer don come"
The GRP department which is always very busy with students gisting here and there while some sit down to enjoy the cool breeze blowing around the
trees, was also Empty.
The bridge that leads to the lecture theatre 1 & 2 and also to the law faculty is dry,
The performing art theater was not performing anything .
Inside and outside of lecture theatre 1 & 2 was just filled with empty dusty chairs.
The Economics and business Administration department,
RR building, no one!
The SMS faculty building ,
CAR PARKs
and the most POPULOUS area on Campus
MOTION GROUND looked like the traders were on strike.
lecture theatre 3
As I find my way home, trying to get the emptiness within the campus away from my mind, my eyes caught the SUG Building, Guess what?
Our excos no carry last for "first to go home!"
I smiled dipped my baby(camera) into my bag and prayed in my mind that the lord will touch the heart of all the parties involved in the strike, so that normal activities can resume within the campus.
Till we meet again after the strike has been called off I remain "Ayamolowo Temidayo"..
