STYLE AND FASHION

" Bim Bim Bim " I heard a sound coming from my new Samsung S7PLUS  (yeah I just bought it), I picked it up to check the message when I saw it was a BBM BC from "THICK BARBIE"FOUNDER  OF OOUFASHION announcing the UPCOMING EVENT of the 2016 EDITION OF THE OOUFASHION AND AWARD NIGHT.

I was supposed to be a part of the of the 2015 edition, but my schedule was filled with "WEDDINGS" IN and OUT of lagos and we all know weddings are beautiful, I love the LAUGHTER and DANCE which fills the atmosphere,TRADITIONS that differs from one wedding to another,Cute DRESS-STYLES from families, friends and the "mo gbo mo branch" crew, the LOVE shared by the COUPLES" which am never tired of clicking my SHUTTER RELEASE and ever enticing faces of the bridesmaids.

I heard different stories about the event from people saying how FILLED UP MAP was, how the DJ never stopped with fabulous music's, how the ballers were popping, and the DESIGNER'S were on POINT and even the majestic arrival of famous actress Ronke Odusanya... chai! I misssed!.

When they talk am always like "ehen ehen ehen with mouth open"
.

Still thinking about the message from Thick Barbie, Right away on the spot i receive a called from Sam OF LIFE who is also a MAJOR PARTNER OF OOUFASHION.

Our conversation goes thus:

SAM OF LIFE:-Hello boss

Me:-HOW DO YOU DO?

SAM OF LIFE:-AM GREAT!! Our event is coming up this year and you have been chosen as part of the committee also we are organising a fashion shoot inside the school which we want you to shoot.

ME:- *Smiles* Ok!!!

The day chosen was also the SUG election day and
In spite of the supposed 'FREE AND FAIR' SUG ELECTION (WHO CARES) I had GREAT Fun with all the PARTICIPANTS, I kept on hitting the shutter with so much glee, It was a wonderful Shoot and I hope you have fun and try to recognize some of the locations of the shots!

COULD THIS BE OOU?

"PS!" I screamed waving to a UK-used bus to take me into school and as I
got down inside the school garage, what fills my ears is the sound of
birds chirping and the wind quietly  blowing  by. It felt so calm. I
thought  within myself, COULD THIS BE OOU?

Walking down Road 2, something felt different, I could feel it, first, the road that leads to the admin block looked like the Sahara; too dry for
comfort.

I was still  in doubt if  Baba Ibadan really drove into OOU.

Even the famous CTS BUILDING would echo if my  1k fell on its floor.

FCMB security guards were so happy to see someone all day - Me, "customer don  come"

The GRP department which is always very busy with students gisting here and there while some sit down to enjoy the cool breeze blowing around the
trees, was also Empty.

The bridge  that leads to the lecture theatre 1 & 2 and also to the law faculty is dry,

The performing art theater was not performing  anything .

Inside and outside of lecture theatre 1 & 2 was just filled with empty dusty chairs.

The Economics and business Administration department,

RR building, no one!

 The SMS faculty building ,

CAR PARKs

and the most POPULOUS area on Campus

MOTION GROUND looked like the traders were on strike.

lecture theatre  3

As I find my way home, trying to get the emptiness within the campus away from my mind, my eyes caught the SUG Building, Guess what?

Our excos no carry last for "first  to go  home!"

But all that emptiness did not stop the flowers from blooming

I smiled  dipped my baby(camera) into my bag and prayed in my mind that the lord will touch the heart of all the parties involved in the strike, so that normal activities can resume within the campus.

Till we meet again after the strike has been called off I remain     "Ayamolowo Temidayo"..
